Welcome
The Uma G'bae N'Edo club of Atlanta would like to thank you for visiting our website. As you navigate through the site we hope that you'll find it informative and learn to treasure and appreciate the Edo culture as much as we do. Benin City in Edo state, Nigeria is the cradle of black civilization, famous for its arts, culture, and conquests. The ancient Benin kingdom spanned a greater part of the present day southern Nigeria, extending as far as to the Ashanti region of Ghana, and to Idah in the northern part of Nigeria.

Eten,
On behalf of the club, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for a very successful annual picnic. I especially want to thank the picnic organizing committee, particularly Hon. Noghama Oni and Hon. Owen Osunde for their tireless work. We, as a club, should emulate their example. Thank you Hon. George Oboh for the sumptous meals you put out from the grill. Thanks to the executive team for a job well done. As an administration, we have more goals to achieve, so, let's take this successful event as a booster that launches us to greater successes.
HAPPY FATHERS' DAY.
A good father is a subjective term, however, there is a common thread that binds those who fall under the category of a good father. We are fathers because of our child/ren. The exceptional father is he who leaves no stones unturned in ensuring that his child/ren has/have the greatest opportunity to have a better life than his. If this premise serves as a basis for this piece, then please pardon me to crave your indulgence.
MONTHLY GENERAL MEETING
Eten,
Our monthly general meeting will hold on sunday, May 8, 2011 at the residence of Hon. Osaze Iyabor and family. The time for the meeting is 5pm. As always, please come with ideas about moving our club forward.
I am privileged to remind you of a great event taking place on that day; Mothers' Day, a special day for our wives and mothers. I trust that we will put smiles on the faces of our mothers and wives to mark the occasion.
On behalf of my family and I, please help me extend my best wishes to your wives and mothers. May unity and prosperity continue to reign in our land.
